COMMUNITY HEALTH EDUCATION COURSES
Updated: May 4, 2008
Thank you for your interest in our American Red Cross Courses.
Instructors of the Greater Arkansas Chapter certify people in Red Cross health and safety courses, which include Red Cross CPR, first aid, lifeguard training, and swimming. These courses in turn help make our communities healthier, safer places to live. The Greater Arkansas Chapter provides instructors for the workplace to teach employees these courses and others such as back injury prevention and stress management. Click on the links below for registration guidelines, course descriptions, course schedules and a registration form.
Courses are open to anyone in the community. Any of the courses described can be scheduled to meet the needs of businesses and groups who need to train a minimum of six students as contractual service. Please read the guidelines and course descriptions before proceeding to the schedules/registration form. Fees are listed on the form. Click CHESked.pdf to download a printable PDF version of the information. Lifeguard training uses a separate registration form. Click DisasterSked.pdf
to download a printable PDF version of the schedule for disaster-response training. For general information about classes, telephone 748-1060.

COURSE REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
Pre-registration is required for all classes; students will not be able to register on the course date. Use the Registration Form to sign up for the class you would like to attend. We will make every effort to accommodate your first choice, but classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Occasionally a class will not meet minimum enrollment and must be cancelled. If this occurs, you will be notified and given the opportunity to reschedule for another class or to have the course fee refunded.
Each class session begins promptly, so it is important to arrive ahead of the scheduled class time.
Skills practice sessions require strenuous activity; comfortable attire is recommended. If you have a medical condition that might prevent your taking part in the sessions, you should discuss it with your physician before enrollment. If you need special arrangements because of a physical disability, please advise the Chapter when you register.
